April 2015 Newsletter
Dear Infant Room Parents,
It is April and Spring weather is just around the corner!! Wishing you all a blessed Easter. Reminder: Joyful Noise is closed April 3rd for Good Friday. With warmer weather on the way we are going to try to get better about getting outside in the weeks to come. Remember to send in a jacket, hat & mittens for all children. And also MARK all items that you bring to daycare. Bottle, clothes, jackets, car seats, shoes and whatever else you may send in. With so many children about the same size, it is hard to keep track of it all.
Our Theme for the month of April is “For God so Loved the World”. Our focus color will be Purple. We will be highlighting Easter, in a very age appropriate way. We have some great books to read about how much God loves us. I am hoping we will be able to do a fun Easter craft, also. With many of the children already or soon to be one, we are hoping to make some small but positive changes. We will be bringing a table in to the room for the children to play and eat group meals at. As more of the children grow out of morning naps we will spend time playing in the rec. room or going outside, when the weather is warmer.
Dates to remember: Annual Joyful Noise Carnival is on Friday April 24 from 6:30-8:00. It is a great time for all ages! Reminder: We will be closing at 5:00 that day for set-up. Mark your calendars for May 15th for our Teusink’s Pony Farm night. More details as we get closer to the day.
A big thanks going out to all of you who faithfully bring in supplies. We appreciate your generosity! To give you a small idea of how we use your contribution, we figured out we use an average of 12 wipes per child per day. They are not only used for diaper changes but for after meal clean-up, crusty noses, spit-ups and more. And tissues, I can’t even begin to figure that one out but it is a lot especially lately. ;-)
Looking forward to God’s Sunshine & Blue Skies,
Marti & staff

March 2015 Newsletter
Dear Infant Room Families, March 2015
Wow, is this the winter that just won’t end. I think we may be living in Narnia, where it is always winter. On a happier note the first day of Spring is officially later this month, so we do have hope.
For our monthly theme of the month we are going somewhere over the rainbow where skies are blue and warm! “Somewhere Over the Rainbow it is Raining Cats and Dogs” is our theme. We will be reading books about animal friends and rainbows. If you have pictures of your family pets you could bring in, that would be great. We will incorporate them into a book for the classroom. Our color of the month is Sky Blue, which we hope to see a lot more of. As you may have noticed we do many of our crafts with hand and foot prints so don’t be alarmed when your little one comes home with a little color between the toes or around the nail beds. We do try to clean up as best we can.
Please be sure to inform us in writing of any feeding and nap changes, medications, health or daily progress concerns. Feel free to call the classroom’s direct line at 847-3512, as needed. I am usually here 7:00-3:00 daily.
We are hoping for bluer skies, warmer temperatures and healthier bodies in the month to come. We continue to thank all of you who keep children home when they are not 100%. This is not only best for your child but it also goes a long way in keeping everyone in the room healthier. We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and your personal sacrifice.
